What is a Standard Rate Campaign?
In case of a Standard Rate Campaign, the customer who sends the text message is only charged the Standard Messaging Charges according to his/her Carrier Data Plan.

What is a Premium Rate Campaign?
In case of a Premium Rate Campaign, the customer who sends the text message is charged a premium rate and the Standard Messaging Charges according to Carrier Data Plan. In USA, double opt-in is required to confirm the premium transaction from the customer.

Can I earn money with Premium Rate Campaign?
Yes. For every Premium Rate Campaign transaction, onSMS gives you a payout which you can cash-out to PayPal. In USA and Canada, the payout is 30% for a premium rate campaign.

Policy for Monthly or Annual Package
Charges for the renewal of onSMS Account will be refunded upon written notification 10 days after the following the renewal date. Notices received after 10 days will be charged the pro-rated amount.
Refund Policy for Credit Purchases
No refunds of Credit Purchases will be offered. This applies to all kinds of Additional Credit Purchase like Keywords, Shortcodes, and Response Credits. It remains the sole discretion of onSMS to determine if the failure warrants a refund.
Contact and Billing Information
It is your responsibility to keep valid contact and billing information on your account. onSMS will continue to send information regarding your account in accordance with the contact information you have provided in your Account and upon registration.
What is Opt-in?
For sending messages to a cell phone, explicit permission is required from the cell phone user. Your customer can opt-in by texting your List Creator Keyword to the campaign shortcode. You can send messages to your customers once they opt-in to your mobile list.
What is Double Opt-in?
To charge a premium rate to your customer, they need to double opt-in. This is done when a customer is sent a message with details of premium rate and a "Reply with Y to confirm" to which the customer replies with "Y" to double opt-in.
What is a Keyword?
A Keyword is the unique identifier for your campaign. A Keyword can be alphanumeric and between 4 to 10 characters. In case of a text message campaign, the cell phone user has to send the keyword to the onSMS-hosted shortcode to participate in the campaign.
What is a Keyword Credit?
1 Keyword Credit is required to keep additional Keywords active for one month. You can buy keyword credits for 3 months or additional time period according to your campaign requirement.
What is a Shortcode?
A Short Code is a 5 or 6 digit abbreviated phone number. Each shortcode is specific to one and may have multiple price points. Example of a multiple-price shortcode is our shortcode 51051 for USA. On 51051 USA Shortcode, you can charge standard message rate or a premium charge of $0.99. In Canada, each shortcode has a fixed pricing i.e. 51051 (Canada) is used for standard rate campaigns while 60606 (Canada) is used for charging a premium of C$1.00 plus standard message charges.
What is a Shortcode Credit?
1 Shortcode Credit is required to keep additional Shortcodes active for one month. You can buy keyword credits for 3 months or additional time period according to your campaign requirement.
What is a Request Credit?
A Request Credit is deducted each time an incoming message (or Request) is received on your text messaging campaign. It is also referred to as MO (Mobile Originated) message which is the text message that is sent by the customer to participate in your campaign. In case of Premium Rate Campaign, additional Request Credits may be deducted since the customer is required to opt-in (or confirm) the premium charge.
What is a Response Credit?
A Response Credit is deducted each time an outgoing message (or Response) is sent after receiving an incoming message (or Request). It is also referred to as MT (Mobile Terminated) message which is text message that is sent to the customer who participated in your campaign. In case of Premium Rate Campaign, additional Response Credits may be deducted since the customer is required to opt-in (or confirm) the premium charge.
Can I create text messaging campaigns for USA and Canada?
Yes, we are connected with all the major operators in USA and Canada. For USA: AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Cellular One users can text to participate in mobile marketing campaigns. For Canada: Roger, Fido, Telus and Bell users can participate in text messaging campaigns.
How much do I have to pay for running one text message campaign in USA or Canada?
The basic monthly fee for the onSMS account is US$49 per month. This includes 1 Keyword and 1 Shortcode of your choice. You can use this 1 keyword on one text messaging service at a time. If you want to run the campaign in USA, you can select a USA Shortcode or select a Canada Shortcode if you want to run your campaign in Canada. With this monthly package, you also get 250 free response credits (outgoing message credits).
Can I execute the same text messaging campaign in USA and Canada simultaneously?
Yes, you can execute the same text messaging campaign in both USA and Canada at the same time. You will be required to purchase additional Shortcode Credits to execute the campaign. For example, if you use the Account Shortcode for a USA Campaign, you will have to purchase an additional Shortcode for executing a campaign in USA.
